There are 6 modern workshops operating at the plant, where 5 the most modern technological lines are installed. Also, there is a chemical and microbiological laboratory and laboratory of controlling the quality of products.Here, 300 specialists work, who are engaged in production of various medicines: injection solutions, powders, pills, ointments, solutions for external application, mixtures, syrups etc. - more than 100 titles. The drugs produced by «Farmaco» are tested both in the enterprise's laboratory and in the state one dealing with control and certification of drugs.Injection solutions (ascorbic acid, anal- jl gin, aloe vera extract, glucose, etc) are I coming for sale in ampoules; pills (analgin, I erythromycin, furosemid, nistatin, etc.) in boxes and bottles; ointments and infusions, produced on the basis of medicinal herbs growing on the territory of the republic, are packed in small bottles of 25, 30 and 50 ml volume, and are distinguished by high quality. In general, «Farmaco» medicines are produced from imported raw materials purchased from major manufacturing companies from Holland and Germany. They are sold in all drug-stores of Moldova, as well as of Byelorussia. Production of high quality medicines is the main task of the enterprise. Enterprise participates in fairs and exhibitions. In 2002, it was rewarded with international premium «For Commercial Prestige». In the nearest future, «Farmaco» plans to release sterile powders for injecting solutions of ampicillin, cephalosin, etc.; to carry out more actively work related with realization of medicines and to favor to the utmost the development of national pharmaceutics.
