Doctor of technical sciences. From 2002 - the general drector of NISM. Author of 6 patented inventions. National Institute of Standardization and Metrology (NISM) was created in 2002 through reorganization of the former National Standardization, Metrology and Certification Center.
It performs scientific and practical works directed toward implementing in the Republic of Moldova of unified policy in the field of standardization, metrology and evaluation of conformity. It provides under request of economic agents and private persons services of meteorolo-gical verification and attestation of mea-suring instruments, as well as laboratory tests of industrial, agricultural and food products, certification of products, etc. Providing services of technical exa-mination and control of normative do-cuments, NISM assures compliance with requirements of applicable standards and technical regulations. NISM has its central office in Kis- hinau city and branches in Cahul and Causeni towns. Its activity is ensured by approximately 300 specialists being highly qualified experts able to resolve problems concerning implementation of national, international and regional standards and to assure conformity of goods. Institute is an exclusive owner, manager and distributor of the national fund of normative acts in the field of standardization, metrology and assessment of conformity. Also, it is the principal executor of the program of development of the National System of Standards for the period of 2003-2008, is an owner of the National Standard of electric resistance of constant current, as well as of 65 retence- comparison standards of the Republic of Moldova. NISM participates actively in regional and international cooperation in the field of its activity. NISM activity is constantly improved on the basis of the Quality Management System and in conformity with international standards ISO of 9000:2000 series. |
